Well, food is what we are passionate about, fanatical is how we feel not just about food, but about service, people, occassions, wine and all the facets that make what we do an exciting challenging lifestyle. We are able through experience to maintain our standards in what are often difficult operational circumstances, it is these things that set us apart.
Our food journey has taken us from the Cape to Morocco to France to Italy to the East -sometimes all in a few days! We strive to prepare tailor made menus, and continually look for new and inventive ways to make each occasion a fantastic experience.
We travel to rejuvenate and update our skills – our recent trips have included Australia where we attended a gourmet cooking course and sampled cutting edge pacific rim cuisine. A journey through the Loire Valley and Southern Spain have exposed us to a variety of wines and cooking styles. In 2005 we visited Vietnam and attended several cooking courses.
In addition to offering a catering service Food Fanatics now doubles up as a venue(The Homestead) with full co-ordination and wedding planning service, where we can assist with flowers/décor service/bar requirements/marquee hire(outside area) and lighting.
